Faasen Automation ("Faasen Automation," "we," "us") builds and operates the FaasenDrive scheduling software used by driving schools, their instructors, and their students (together, the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email faasenautomation@gmail.com.
Each driving school using FaasenDrive is responsible for the students and instructors it enrolls, and for its own business practices, pricing, and cancellation policies. We act as the technology provider that processes data on a school's behalf to run their scheduling, reminders, and payments.
Account information — name, email address, phone number, and a securely hashed password for admins, instructors, and students.
Scheduling information — lesson times, pickup and drop-off addresses, instructor and vehicle assignments, permit/lesson-hour progress, and notes added by school staff or instructors.
Payment information — lesson charges, no-show fees, and balances. Card numbers are never stored on our servers; payments are processed directly by Stripe (see below).
Communications — messages you send us (e.g. through the contact form), and records of the automated reminders sent to you.
Usage information — basic technical data (like log-in timestamps and error logs) generated automatically as the Service runs, used to keep it working reliably.
We also keep a record of when you accepted our Terms of Service, and standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) generated when you use the Service.
We do not sell your personal information, to anyone, ever.
If you provide a phone number and your school has automated reminders turned on, you may receive SMS text messages about your upcoming lessons (for example, a reminder a set number of hours before a scheduled lesson). By providing your phone number during sign-up, you consent to receive these messages.
Message frequency varies depending on your school's reminder settings and your lesson schedule. Message and data rates may apply from your carrier. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages, or HELP for help. You can also ask your school's office to disable SMS reminders for your account, or manage your phone number from your account settings.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the Service. Each only receives the information it needs to do its job:
These providers process data under their own privacy and security terms and only for the purpose of providing their service to us.
We retain account and lesson data for as long as your school account is active, so schools can keep an accurate lesson history and hour log. If a school or user account is deleted, associated data is removed or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep records longer (for example, payment records for tax or accounting purposes).
The Service is intended for driving-school staff, instructors, and students old enough to hold a learner's permit or driver's license under their local laws. Many students are minors: their accounts are created either by the driving school on the family's behalf, or by the student with a join code from their school — and in either case a minor should only use the Service with a parent or guardian's permission. Schools can require office approval of every new student account before it becomes active. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect data in our care.
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
